Susannah was born in 1750 in Tomatly, Cherokee Nation, North Carolina.  Susannah's father was Col William Emory (Cherokee) and her mother was Mary Grant (Ani'-Gil�'hi = Twisters, Braids, or Long Hair Clan (Mary Grant)).  Her paternal grandparents were John Emery Amory Emory and Sarah poss cherokee Wilson; her maternal grandparents were Baronet Ludovic of Dalvey Grant (Cherokee) and Eughioote Elizabeth Tassel Coody (Ani'-Gil�'hi = Twisters, Braids, or Long Hair Clan (Mary Grant)). She had three brothers and three sisters, named Will   Long Fellow, Capt. Young Will, Drury, Abraham, Mary, Elizabeth and Susannah Onodutu.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 46 in 1796 in Tugaloo, Georgia.
