Abraham was born on May 16th, 1757 in SC.  Abraham's father was Col William Emory (Cherokee) and his mother was Mary Grant (Ani'-Gil�'hi = Twisters, Braids, or Long Hair Clan (Mary Grant)).  His paternal grandparents were John Emery Amory Emory and Sarah poss cherokee Wilson; his maternal grandparents were Baronet Ludovic of Dalvey Grant (Cherokee) and Eughioote Elizabeth Tassel Coody (Ani'-Gil�'hi = Twisters, Braids, or Long Hair Clan (Mary Grant)). He had two brothers and four sisters, named Will   Long Fellow, Capt. Young Will, Drury, Mary, Elizabeth, Susannah and Susannah Onodutu.  He was the youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 80 in 1837 in Hamilton County, TN.
