Henry Marshall was born on January 28th, 1816.  Henry Marshall's father was Maj. Gen John Archer Elmore and his mother was Nancy Ann Martin. He had a brother named Albert Stanhope.  He was the older of the two children. He had a half-brother named Benjamin F.  He died at the age of 63 in 1879.
