Albert Stanhope was born in 1827.  Albert Stanhope's father was Maj. Gen John Archer Elmore and his mother was Nancy Ann Martin. He had a brother named Henry Marshall.  He was the younger of the two children. He had a half-brother named Benjamin F.  He died at the age of 82 in 1909.
