John Wolf was born about 1750.  John Wolf's father was Chief CORNSTALK Hokolesqua, Colesqua and Keigh-tugh-qua and was freely translated to mean "blade of corn" (Shawnee) and his mother was Ounaconoa.  His paternal grandparents were AKULUSSKA and Shawnee Woman. He had three brothers named Black Beard, Black Wolf and Peter.  He was the third oldest of the four children.
