Maxwell was born on October 20th, 1793 in Hancock Georgia.  Maxwell's father was Robert Chambers and his mother was Lettice Boyd.  His paternal grandparents were Henry andOR Robert Chambers and Jennet Futhey Elliott. He had a brother and a sister, named David and Ann. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Henry, James and Jane.  He died at the age of 74 on April 12th, 1868 in Cherokee Nation West.
