David was born on September 27th, 1781 in Rowan County, NC.  David's father was Robert Chambers and his mother was Lettice Boyd.  His paternal grandparents were Henry andOR Robert Chambers and Jennet Futhey Elliott. He had a brother and a sister, named Maxwell and Ann. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Henry, James and Jane.  He died at the age of 59 on January 11th, 1841 in Dallas County, Alabama.
