John Carter

John was born on May 8th, 1674. John's father was Capt Thomas Carter Sr and his mother was Katherine Dale. His paternal grandparents are Maj. Thomas Carter (Ancient Planter) and poss Miles; his maternal grandparents were Maj. Edward Dale and Lady Diana Skipwith. He had three brothers named Edward, Thomas and Henry Skipwith. He was the third oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 70 in 1744.
