Jefferson Peter Carter

Jefferson Peter was born on July 24th, 1824 in Amherst, VA. Jefferson Peter's father was LittleBerry Carter and his mother was Nancy Stinnett. His paternal grandparents were Fleming Carter and Sarah; his maternal grandparents were William Stinnett and Nancy Carter. He had five brothers and six sisters, named James Madison, William Stinnett, Allen, George W, Charles Lilburne, Elizabeth, Polly, Sara A Sally, Phebe A, Pleasant and Martha. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 87 on November 3rd, 1911 in Bedford Co., Virginia.
