Ruth was born in 1679 in Great Marle, Buckinghamshire, England.  Ruth's father was Richard Buffington Sr and her mother was Ann (Native American???).  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Boveington Buffington and Ann. She had a brother and three sisters, named Thomas, Rachel, Lydia and Anne. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Richard and Alice.  She died at the age of 64 in January 1743 in Kennett, Chester Co., PA.
