Ann was born about 1737.  Ann's father was John Boswell and her mother was Sarah Harris.  Her paternal grandparents were William Boswell and <Unknown>. She had six brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Matthew, William, John, Edward, Charles, Joseph, Mary Ann, Selina, Sarah, Elizabeth, Violetta and unk.  She was the seventh oldest of the thirteen children.
