William Le was born in 1153.  William Le's father was Gilbert Le Blount and his mother was Agnes D'Isles.  His paternal grandfather was William Le Blount and his paternal grandmother is Sarah De Munchesny; his maternal grandparents are King Somerled of the Isles and Ragnhild Olafsdottir. He had a brother named Stephen.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 32 in 1185.
