Robert Old Robin was born in 1719 in Goochland County, Virginia.  Robert Old Robin's father was Robert Adams and his mother was Mourning Lewis.  His paternal grandparents are William Adams and Penelope Johnson; his maternal grandparents were Col William Lewis and Elizabeth Williams Woodson. He had five sisters named Elizabeth, Judith Lewis, Mary, Susannah and Lucinda.  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 21 on June 17th, 1740.
