King Charles (le Sage) of France V

Charles, known as le Sage, was born on January 21st, 1337 in Chateau de Vincennes, Vincennes, France.¹ Le Sage's father was Jean (Le Bon) France II and his mother was Princess Jutte of Bohemia. His paternal grandparents were Philip Valois of France VI and Jeanne de Bourgogne. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Louis, le Magnifique, Le Hardi, Blanche, Catherine, Jeanne, Marie, Agnaes, Marguerite and Isabel. He was the second oldest of the eleven children.
