Sir Brian de Stapleton K.G. 
Brian was born in 1318 in Bedale, North Riding, Yorkshire, England.1 Brian's father was Sir Gilbert de Stapleton and his mother was Agnes FitzAlan. His paternal grandparents were Miles de Stapleton and Sybil Beaulieu; his maternal grandparents were Brian FitzAlan III and Maud de Baliol. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Miles, Nicholas, John, Katherine and Avicia. He was the oldest of the six children.General Notes
