Alan FitzAlan II 
Alan was born in 1238 in Bedale, North Riding, Yorkshire, England.1 Alan's father was Brian FitzAlan II and his mother was Alice Hansard. His paternal grandparents were Alan FitzAlan I and Haget; his maternal grandparents were Gilbert FitzMaldred Hansard and <Unknown>. He had a half-brother named The Elder. He died due to Killed by Payn le Keu in self-defense at the age of 29 on May 17th, 1267.1 General Notes

(d) Pardon to Payn le Keu of Brandesburton for the death of Alan de Bedale, as it appears by inquistion made by Richard de Middleton that Payn killed Alan in self-defence: 17 May (Patent Roll, 51 Henry III, no. 18). York: Agnes late the wife of Alan fitz Brian gave half a mark for an assize taken before Richard de Middleton.
