William, known as The Conqueror, was born on October 14th, 1024 in Falaise, Normandie, France.1   The Conqueror's father was Robert (The Magnificent) Normandy II and his mother was Heleve Arlette de Falaise.  His paternal grandparents were 4th Duke of Normandy Richard (The Good) Normandy II and Judith of Brittany; his maternal grandparents were Chamberlain Fulbert de Falaise and Princess of Scotland Doda Falaise. He had three sisters named Felicia, Adeliza and Adelaide.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Odo, Robert, Ranulph, Emma, Miss, Herleva and Muriel.  He died at the age of 62 on September 10th, 1087 in Hermenbraville, Rouen, Normandie.1
