4th Baron Mowbray John de Mowbray 
John was born on June 25th, 1340 in Epworth, Lincolnshire, England.1 John's father was John de Mowbray and his mother was Joan Plantagenet. His paternal grandparents were John de Mowbray and Aline de Braose; his maternal grandparents were 3rd Earl of Lancaster Henry Plantagenet and Lady Maud de Chaworth. He had a sister named Eleanor. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 28 on October 9th, 1368 in Thrace, Turkey.1 General Notes
John de Mowbray, 4th Baron Mowbray (1340-1368) was the son of the third baron.
As was the custom of lords at the time, de Mowbray served in the French wars. The 4th Baron took the cross and met his end near Constantinople, fighting against the Turks.
John de Mowbray married Elizabeth, daughter of John, Lord Segrave and Margaret, Duchess of Norfolk. They had at least two sons, and several daughters.
