Geoffrey de Lucy 
Geoffrey was born in 1120.1 Geoffrey's father was Sir Richard (The Loyal) de Lucy and his mother was Rohesia de Clare. His paternal grandparents were Adrian de Lucy and Aveline Goth; his maternal grandparents were 1st Earl of Pembroke, Earl de Clare, Abbot of Ely Gilbert FitzRichard de Clare and Adeliza de Clermont. He had a brother and three sisters, named William, Aveline, Alice and Maud. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Walter, Mary and Emma. He died at the age of 58 in 1178 in Newington, Kent, England.2 General Notes

(c) Bracton's Note Book, c 1159, which quotes verbatim the official report of a verdict given in Hilary term (1223) . . . Lewis C Loyd points out that, according to Robert de Torigni, when the Justiciar entered religion he was succeeded by his grandson Richard, son of Geoffrey. Roese therefore succeeded her brother, not her father or grandfather, and the inference to be drawn is that Richard the younger and Roese were Geoffrey's children by a first wife, and Geoffrey the younger his son by a second wife.
