Peter was born in 1162 in Skelton Castle, Yorkshire, England.1 Peter's father was Adam de Brus II and his mother was Jueta Ivetta de la Arches. His paternal grandparents were Robert (le Meschin) de Brus II and Agnes Paynel; his maternal grandparents were William de Arches and Jueta Ivetta. He had two brothers named Adam and Piers. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Hugh, Agnes and Maud. He died at the age of 59 on February 12th, 1221 in Skelton Castle, Yorkshire, England.1 General Notes
