His paternal grandparents were Grimald Monaco and Crispina De Normandy; his maternal grandparents were Count Sigfried le Danois de Guisnes and Elstrude de Flanders. He had a brother and a sister, named Rollo and Adele. He died at the age of 40 in 1040 in Normandy.1 General Notes
