Eystein, known as The Noisy, Glumra, was born in 0820 in Maer, Nord-Trondelag, Norway.1 The Noisy, Glumra's father was Jarl of Upland Ivar Oplaendinge Halfdansson and his mother was Hilda Eysteinsdottir. His paternal grandparents were Halfdan (The Meek) Eysteinsson and Hlif Dagsdottir; his maternal grandparents were Jarl of Northumbria Eystein (Glumra) Hognasson and <Unknown>. He had a brother named Arailt. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 52 in 0872.2 General Notes
