Earl of Suffolk Robert d'Ufford (Robert de Ufford) 
Robert was born in 1279 in Thurston, Suffolk, England.1 Robert's father was Robert d'Ufford de Peyton and his mother was Mary de Saye. His paternal grandparents were John de Peyton and Agnes; his maternal grandparents were William de Saye and <Unknown>. He was an only child. He died at the age of 37 in 1316.2 General Notes
Sir Robert de Ufford, first Baron, Knight, who was summoned to Parliament as a Baron from 13 Jan., 1308, to Dec. 19, 1311. His lordship was in the expedition made into Scotland in 34 of Edward I, 1306. He married Cecily, one of the daughters and co-heirs of Sir Robert de Valoines, Knight, Lord of Walsham, and had issue Robert, John, Ralph and Edmund. He died 1316.
