Llywelyn ap Owain

Llywelyn was born in 1283 in Cyfeiliog, Montgomeryshire, Wales.¹ Llywelyn's father was Owain ap Gryffud de la Pole and his mother was Joan Corbet. His paternal grandparents were Gruffud ap Gwenwynwyn and Hawise le Strange; his maternal grandparents were Robert de Corbet and Katherine le Strange. He had three brothers and two sisters, named William, Gruffydd, Owain, Jane and The Hardy. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 26 in 1309 in Gloddaeth, Creuddyn, Caernavonshire, Wales.¹
