James Ray Vandever 
James Ray was born on March 8th, 1902 in Cumberland Co, TN and his baptism took place in Census 1920. James Ray's father was James W. Vandever and his mother was Sarah 'Betty' Elizabeth Simmons. His maternal grandparents were Drury Simmons and Emma Seales. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Edgar J., Hobert V., Mae and Violet. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 68 in October 1970.General Notes
