James Thomas Underwood 
James Thomas was born on April 4th, 1877 in Taylor Co., KY. James Thomas' father was James Franklin Underwood and his mother was Nancy Ann DeWitt. His paternal grandparents were Anderson Underwood and Priscilla Milby. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Silas, Aaron, Charles, Anderson, Drucilla, Sarah and Bettie. He was the youngest of the eight children. He had two half-sisters named Mary E. and Sudie. He died at the age of 55 on May 28th, 1932 in New Haven, Nelson Co., KY.-
