Celia was born on September 23rd, 1838 in Green Co., KY.1 Celia's father was William C. Underwood and her mother was Mariah J. Druin. Her paternal grandparents were Hiram Underwood and Celia Buley. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Hiram, Thomas, Jesse, William J., George W., Sarah "Sally", Nancy J., Mariah J., Ursula and Martha F.. She was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 67 on March 3rd, 1906 in Taylor Co., KY. She was buried in 1906 in Sprowls Cemetery, Taylor Co., KY.2 -
