Robert Stewart

Robert was born about 1522 in Dumbarton Castle, Strathclyde, Scotland.¹ Robert's father was 12th Earl of Lennox John Stewart and his mother was Elizabeth Stuart. His maternal grandparents were 1st Earl of Atholl John Stuart and Eleanor Sinclair. He had two brothers and two sisters, named 13th Earl of Lennox Matthew, 5th Seigneur d'Aubigny John, Helen and Janet. He was the youngest of the five children.
