Hugh Steward 
Hugh was born in 1280 in Scotland.1 Hugh's father was John of Bonkyl Stewart and his mother was Margaret de Bonkyl. His paternal grandparents were 4th High Steward of Scotland Alexander Stewart and Jean MacRorie of Bute; his maternal grandparents were Sir Alexander Bonkyl and <Unknown>. He had six brothers and a sister, named Alexander, Alan, Walter, James, John, Robert and Isobel. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He had a half-sister named Margaret.-
