Sylvester 'Vester' Stafford 
Sylvester 'Vester' was born on October 24th, 1880 in NC and his baptism took place in Draft Registration. Sylvester 'Vester''s father was Howard Clark Stafford and his mother was Ellen S. Goforth. His maternal grandparents were George Goforth and Nancy Jane Houser. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Joseph 'Joe' R., Charlie, Oline, Nelson, Conrad, Carl, Betty Nin, Myrtle L. and Georgia. He died at the age of 85 on February 23rd, 1966 in Crossnore, Avery Co, NC. He was buried on February 26th, 1966 in Yellow Mountain Cemetery, Plumtree, Avery Co, NC.General Notes
