John Henry Skaggs

John was born in 1837.¹ John's father was William (Bustle) Skaggs and his mother was Martha Patsy Perry. His paternal grandparents were William (Squire) Skaggs and Mary (Polly) Pierce; his maternal grandparents were Obadiah Perry and Elizabeth. He had a brother and two sisters, named William, Martha and Nancy. He was the second oldest of the four children.
