George Washington Skaggs 
George Washington was born on August 27th, 1868 in LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 George Washington's father was Uriah Skaggs and his mother was Levina Bell. His paternal grandparents were Stephen Skaggs and Rhoda Warren. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Hugh, Atwood, William A., Charles C., Andrew, Burnette, Ada, Ida B., Emmie S. and Creassie Lucretta. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 74 on June 20th, 1943 in LaRue Co., Kentucky. He was buried in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, Green Co., Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
