Laura Alice was born on June 3rd, 1883 in Marysville, Marshall County, Kansas, USA.1 Laura Alice's father was Reuben Richard Shipley and her mother was Mary Ellen Clapp. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Shipley and Julinda Windom. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Edward Lester, John Richard, George Vernon, Earle V., Minnie May, Effie Belle, Jessie Edith and Pearle V.. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 57 on September 10th, 1940 in St. Francis, Cheyenne County, Kansas, USA.1 -
