Thomas Lafayett was born on November 26th, 1842 in Jackson Co., GA.. Thomas Lafayett's father was Thomas Lafayett STAPLER Sr. and his mother was Mary (Mrs. Thomas Lafayette) STAPLER. His paternal grandparents were John S. STAPLER and Ann NORMAN. He had two brothers and five sisters, named John Washington, Amos J., Sarah E., Mary A., Martha A. D., Cynthia K. and Nancy. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 19 on August 19th, 1862.General Notes
