Grand Duke of Kiev Vladimir (Monomach) Rurik of Kiev II 
Vladimir, known as Monomach, was born in 1053 in Kiev, Ukraine.1 Monomach's father was Grand Duke of Kiev Vsevolod Yaroslavovicy Rurik I and his mother was Saint Maria Monamacha. His paternal grandparents were Grand Prince of Kiev Jaroslav Rurik of Kiev I and Ingigerd Olafsdottir; his maternal grandparents were Constantine of Constantinople IX and Helena Skleraina. He had two sisters named Anna and Eupraxia. He died at the age of 72 on May 19th, 1125.1 General Notes
