Richard Roberts 
Richard was born in 1821 in Orange Co, NC.1 Richard's father was John B. Roberts and his mother was Winnifred Umsted. His paternal grandparents were John Roberts and Elizabeth Jones. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John Wesley, William, Lorenzo, Jesse, Willie, Winnifred and Martha. He was the oldest of the eight children.1 General Notes
