Battle Caviness Roberts 
Battle Caviness was born on May 26th, 1908 in Granville Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1930. Battle Caviness' father was John Lucius Roberts and his mother was Mattie Lee Green. His paternal grandparents were William Therophilis Roberts and Sally Rowland Forsyth. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Hubert William, John Lucius, Rip, Mozell Ora, Celia O. and Lavera L.. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 73 on March 17th, 1982 in Creedmoor, Granville Co, NC.General Notes
