Luther Weldon was born on March 5th, 1922 in Person Co, NC and his baptism took place in Marriage Info. Luther Weldon's father was William Weldon Painter and his mother was Roxie Long. His paternal grandparents were William 'Bill' J. Painter and Mary Elizabeth 'Mollie Bet' Yarbrough. He had six brothers and two sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named William Odis, George Washington, James Thomas, Jessie Bill, Edward Reid, Jerry Onzlow, Lela, Infant and Infant. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died due to Self inflicted Gun shot wound at the age of 35 on March 5th, 1957 in Timberlake, Person Co, NC. He was buried on March 7th, 1957 in Painter Family Cemetery, Person Co, NC.General Notes
