James B. Painter 
James B. was born on September 17th, 1872 in Person Co, NC. James B.'s father was Richard Gilliam Painter and his mother was Elizabeth J. 'Betty' Rhew. His maternal grandparents were John Ruffin Rhew and Susan Roberts. He had three brothers and two sisters, named William F., Soloman Madison, Ary Ruffin, Sula and Nanny Florence. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 64 on March 1st, 1937 in Durham, Durham Co, NC. He was buried on March 3rd, 1937 in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Person Co, NC.General Notes
