Samuel PIERPONT 
Samuel was born on December 30th, 1700 in New Haven, Connecticut.1 Samuel's father was James PIERPONT and his mother was Mary HOOKER. His maternal grandparents were Samuel HOOKER and Mary WILLET. He had five brothers and two sisters, named James, Joseph, Benjamin, Benjamin, Hezekiah, Sarah and Mary. He died at the age of 23 on March 15th, 1724.1 General Notes
BIOGRAPHY: Graduated from Yale in 1718. Ordained Dec. 22, 1722.
DEATH: Drowned while crossing Connecticut River with an Indian in a canoe. His body was found 44 days later on Fisher's Island off Stonington, Connecticut and was buried there on the south side of the island.
