Samuel Odis 'Sam' Nance 
Samuel Odis 'Sam' was born on June 24th, 1906 in High Point, Guilford Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1920. Samuel Odis 'Sam''s father was Samuel Fountain Nance and his mother was Mary Belle Martin. His paternal grandparents were Addison Toplady Nance and Mary A. Cobb. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Frank Martin, Henry C., Johnnie A., Jettie May, Mary F., Minnie J. and Gracie Marie. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 77 in August 1983 in Trinity, Randolph Co, NC.General Notes
