Lavinia Lewis was born in 1827 in Culpeper Co., VA.. Lavinia Lewis' father was Thomas NORMAN Esq. and her mother was Frances STEWART. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph T. Norman and Sarah EVERETT. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John Stewart, Joseph Thomas, Sarah Martha Wallace and Jane Catherine. She was the youngest of the five children. She had two half-brothers and nine half-sisters, named Gabriel Yancey, Jefferson, Mildred Tutt, Lucy Latham, Kesiah, Frances T., Ann (Nancy), Elizabeth, Mary Layton, Myra H. C. and Georgianna. She died at the age of 41 on May 3rd, 1868 in "Fairfield", Culpeper Co., VA.. She was buried in Norman Family (Fairfield) Cem., Stevensburg ?, Culpeper Co., VA..General Notes
