Her paternal grandparents were William IV Mainwaring and Elizabeth Lycester; her maternal grandfather was Hugh III 9th Baron of Kinderton De Venables. She had three brothers and six sisters, named John, William Lord, Randle, Clemence, Elizabeth, Margery, Cecily, Joan and Ellen. She was the youngest of the ten children.-
