Maud De was born in 1308 in Ewyas Harold, Herefordshire, England. Maud De's father was Sir John de la Warre and her mother was Joan de Grelle. Her paternal grandparents were Sir Roger de la Warre and Clarice De Tregoz. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Sir John de, Sir Roger de, Clarice de, Eleanore and Catherine De. She was the second youngest of the six children.-
