Lurana Kerr

Lurana was born on August 3rd, 1822 in Grayson County, Kentucky.¹ Lurana's father was William Staves Kerr and her mother was Nancy Buckles. Her paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Kerr and Mary Parish; her maternal grandparents were John Buckles and Frances Wallingford. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Henry, Charles, James, Mariah, Phebe, Frances, Elizabeth, Nancy and Martha. She was the third oldest of the ten children.
