William Kempe

William was born in 1488 in Ollantigh, Kent, England.¹ William's father was Thomas Kempe and his mother was Emeline Chiche. His paternal grandparents were William Kempe and Alice Scott; his maternal grandparents were Valentine Chiche and Phillipa Chichley. He had four brothers and a sister, named William, Andrew, Richard, Christopher and Cecelia. He was the second oldest of the six children.
