Marshall Sylvester was born on June 15th, 1924 in Cherokee Co, NC. Marshall Sylvester's father was John Everett Hogsed and his mother was Bessie Isabelle Roberts. His maternal grandparents were John D. Roberts and Ollie Coleman. He had five brothers and a sister, named William Garland, Frank, John Everett, Boyd, Willard Herman and Ivalle Loudis. He died at the age of 67 on June 23rd, 1991 in Cherokee Co, NC. He was buried in New Mount Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Cherokee Co, NC.General Notes
