Hazel Hoke Herndon 
Hazel Hoke was born on March 10th, 1914 in Cleveland Co, NC. Hazel Hoke's father was Marion Elmer Herndon and her mother was Lula A. Carpenter. Her maternal grandparents were Edward Anderson Pinckney Carpenter and Caroline B. 'Callie' Hoke. She had three brothers and a sister, named George C., Infant, Marion Elmer and Helen Frances. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 89 on August 16th, 2003 in Hendersonville, Henderson Co, NC. She was buried in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, Cleveland Co, NC.General Notes
