John Thompson Givens 
John Thompson was born about 1829 in Kentucky. John Thompson's father was John Thompson Givens and his mother was Isabella Givens. His maternal grandparents were Eleazar Givens and Jane "Jenny" Robertson. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Robert Alan, Eleazar S., William Douglas, Thomas Kerry, Jerome James, Jane Robertson and Mary E.. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.General Notes
