Walter was born in 1055 in Longueville, Normandy, France.1 Walter's father was Walter Giffard and his mother was Agnes Ermentrude Flaitel. His paternal grandparents were Osbern De Bolbec and Avelina Fitzrichard de Crepon; his maternal grandparents were Gerald de Flaitel and Herleva D'Evereaux. He had a sister named Rohese. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 47 on July 15th, 1102.1 -
